Our Environment Now
The environment right now, as I can see it, is in a very critical condition. There are many environmental issues. First is global warming. Global warming is said to continue everyday even if each individual on earth will learn to conserve. It’ll only be lessened, especially when everyone starts doing the reduce-reuse-recycle policy, buy energy-efficient products, turn off the lights when you’re not using it, and doing other ways to conserve energy. Also, the society should learn to replace the trees that have been cut off, it is also a way to lessen global warming. The ozone layer is dying. Because of the air pollution everywhere, from the cars and from smokes of the factories all over the world, it causes climate change as well. Lately it’s been raining hard in the area where I live. But my friends tell me that it’s really not raining in their area, it’s just dark. With that I am confident that our environment is in a critical condition already.

We still practice the three trashcans- biodegradable, non-biodegradable and recyclable but not all people/companies follow that. Some people or organizations still promote the reuse, reduce, recycle Then there are when some people volunteered to collect garbage that they can see in some tourist spots that can help clean or beautify our places at the same time saving our Mother Earth. Then there are also promotions or inventions that can help promote recycling. There are canvas or cloth shopping bags instead of the usual plastic bags that for me it really helps because instead of producing different grocery/SM plastic bags we can just reuse cloth shopping bags many times. If all people would just cooperate with these practices I think this way can be really effective in conserving our Mother Nature. But that’s reality, not all people would be cooperative.

Nowadays, we are experiencing many problems in our environment. First with the global warming that also causes climate change, this is where Earth Hour was promoted. It is where people were encouraged to turn off their lights for at least one hour. With that event, the world was able to save energy. Addition to this practice, we can still continue doing by just practicing in our own house to conserve energy by unplugging all appliances when we don’t use them. Iron all clothes at one time so you can also save electricity. When we are brushing our teeth it’s best that we use a glass of water with that we can already save water consumption.
